  1. Title tag – Title tags are the most important ranking factor on your page. 
    1. The closer your targeted keyword is to the beginning of the title tag the better off.

    1. On your page you have two types of links.  Internal (linking to your own site) and external (linking to someone elses site).  Both are important and when linking internally use keywords in the link you want them found for.  External link also are good for your site.  You want to link to high PR (PageRank – Google ranking system) or authoritavie sites.  Someone in Witchita Kansas may want to link to a local college as .edu sites often are regarded as a trusted site or possibly link to a site like www.mortgage101.com that has a high PR and is highly educational for there customers.
